1) Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the Partnership mobile application (“App”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information. The App is used to capture project information (including photos) that are synced to our backend systems so our engineering team can prepare required engineering reports and related documentation.

2) Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:

A. Photos / images and related metadata

  • Photos you take or select using the App (including images captured using the device camera).

  • Metadata associated with images (such as time captured, file type/size, and internal IDs used for syncing).

  • We do not use your camera or photos in the background; photo capture occurs only when you choose to take/upload an image.

B. Project and user-provided content

  • Information you enter into the App related to projects, jobs, inspections, or reporting workflows (e.g., notes, selections, identifiers, and related attachments).

C. Device and app diagnostics (optional but common)

  • Basic device/app information (e.g., OS version, app version, error logs, performance/crash data) to help us troubleshoot and improve reliability.

  • This data may be collected automatically when the App experiences errors.

3) How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Sync project data and images from your device to our backend.

  • Allow authorized staff (including engineers) to review the synced data and prepare engineering reports and deliverables.

  • Operate, maintain, and improve App performance and reliability (including debugging white-screen/crash issues).

  • Provide user support and respond to requests.

4) How images are stored and synced

Local storage:
Images are stored locally on your device temporarily so the App can function quickly and reliably, including in poor network conditions.

Sync to backend:
When connectivity is available, the App syncs images and project data to our backend through middleware hosted on Amazon Web Services. Synced data is then stored/managed in our backend systems (including Caspio) and made available to authorized personnel for engineering report production.

Cleanup:
After a successful sync, the App is designed to clean up (delete) local copies as part of normal operation, subject to device behavior and any queued/offline retry logic.

5) Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only as needed for:

  • Authorized internal use: Staff and engineers who need access to produce reports and provide support.

  • Service providers: Vendors who help us operate the App and backend (e.g., cloud hosting, monitoring/logging providers). These providers are permitted to process data only to provide services to us.

  • Legal requirements: If required to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6) Data retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the App’s services (including report creation and recordkeeping),

  • Meet contractual or legal obligations,

  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Local device copies are intended to be temporary; backend records may be retained longer based on operational and compliance needs.

7) Your choices and controls

You may:

  • Control whether you grant Camera permission (you can deny it, but photo features may not work).

  • Request access, correction, or deletion of information where applicable by contacting us at: [support email].

If your organization/account has additional retention requirements, those may apply.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using standard security practices.

9) Children’s privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) International users

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above when changes are made.
